While we were on “hold” until April and our return to Lake Bluff, we have (except for the necessary mess of our making) enjoyed working with your staff – especially Jan Erkenbrack who has worked with both our travel schedules and Phil’s chemo trips to Rush.

I am pleased to tell you of the series of pleasant experiences I have had with your Mr. Al Gruen who came to the forefront and took over when my sales person left your employment. He was a joy to work with and was there to answer my questions even on his days off. He made a remodeling job much less frustrating and his efforts will bring us back to Lewis for my future needs.

Dear Ms. Erwin,
A week ago we had Lewis carpeting installed in our home in Wilmette. I just thought it was important to let you know that the team Lewis sent out for this job, Freddy and Patricio, were amazing! They were here all day, as it was a big recarpeting job consisting of three bedrooms, one large hallway and three staircases. I am sure you are aware that it is not always easy for the homeowner to have workmen in their home all day, nor I am sure is it easy for the workmen to have the homeowner home while they are working!
Not only were Freddy and Patricio here on the second floor trying to do their job that day, but a carpenter and electrician were also here working on the first floor (with some minor electric being done in the same rooms where they were laying carpeting). Freddy and Patricio were considerate, focused, and also went out of their way to make sure the phone wires they carpeted around were done properly as requested by the electrician. They also never even took a break! Since the Wilmette garbage collectors take carpeting, they cut, rolled and taped it up to accommodate the collection regulations - with many trips out to our alley with all the old carpeting and padding.
We have done a lot of construction and remodeling on this home over the past 34 years. These two men were among the most please and competent workers we have had the pleasure of working with. You should be proud to have them on your team.

Arranging such a rapid response in having our two rooms measured the following day .. and then the carpeting installed the day after that in time for company is really special and appreciated. Is it “Tim” who came to measure? His thoughtful attention to details was great. The two installers arrived promptly and did a very professional installation...both in craftsmanship and manner.
